Customer Reviews

If you don’t have a DS period, the DS Lite is a much better investment than the original bulky one. With the DS Lite, game play is made a little simpler. The button placement and brighter screen make the game play a little better. The DS Lite also comes with a phony GBA cartridge (called a “cap”). Perhaps the most welcome change to the DS Lite is the screen. The original DS screen was not exactly bright. In fact, it was, in comparison the DS Lite, rather dark. You can play the DS Lite for as long as you played the original. The stylus doesn’t scratch the screen quite as easily. In other words, the touch screen lasts a lot longer. Some problems with the original DS still plague the DS Lite however. You still can’t play Game boy Color or regular Game boy games on the DS Lite. Also, you still can’t configure the controls to play a GBA game much easier. Touching the touch screen with your bare hands is more dangerous than the stylus scratching the screen. When the original DS launched, owners will note that there were not very many good games available. About the only good game during its launch in 2004 was Super Mario 64 DS. The DS may not play movies, or MP3 players, but to be honest, that almost defeats the purpose of a gaming system. Of course not, I’m looking to find a system to play some of my games on, and the Nintendo DS delivers. For the casual gamer, the Nintendo DS delivers, and the DS Lite is a fine improvement.

Nintendo 3 DS games

Nintendo 3DS – Aqua Blue

Nintendo 3 ds

Nintendo 3 ds

Product Description

The company that changed the world of video games with touch-screen gaming in 2004 and motion-controlled gaming in 2006 now pioneers the next dimensional shift. With the announcement of the Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo introduces portable entertainment in 3D without the need for special glasses. Nintendo 3DS includes two screens. The bottom touch screen makes use of a telescoping stylus that is stored in the unit itself. The top screen displays 3D visuals to the naked eye. The system also has a 3D Depth Slider that lets players select the level of 3D they enjoy the most. The 3D effect can be ratcheted up to the highest level, scaled back to a more moderate setting or even turned off completely. In addition to the familiar + Control Pad and button controls found on previous Nintendo hand-helds, Nintendo 3DS now also includes a Circle Pad, which provides a full 360 degrees of direction, giving it the freedom and precision needed to play games in 3D worlds. A built-in motion sensor and gyro sensor can react to the motion and tilt of the system, so whether players are twisting their systems side to side or moving them up and down, their motion-compatible Nintendo 3DS games respond instantly. Each Nintendo 3DS system comes pre-loaded with a variety of fun games, applications and features, such as Nintendo 3DS Camera. One camera points at the user, while two additional cameras point outward. These two outer cameras take photos in 3D. The fun, built-in game “Face Raiders” asks users to shoot at funny depictions of their own faces. Nintendo 3DS, when put into Sleep Mode, can act as a pedometer, while letting users earn Play Coins for the steps they take that can then be traded in for additional content in compatible games and applications. By accessing the Activity Log, users can check their steps as well as their play time. With Nintendo 3DS Sound, users can enjoy sound-manipulation tools or rock out while listening to their MP3 or AAC music files.

Customer Reviews

Hi! I am Erin T. and I run a website called theMomBuzz. Recently I received a LeapPad from LeapFrog to review and I am sharing my thoughts here on Amazon.

The LeapPad has a great 5″ screen. It is large and bright. I didn’t see a way to control the brightness. The screen is larger than the Leapster Explorer Screen, which measures 3.2″. The resolution for the LeapPad is 480 x 272. (The Leapster Explorer was 420 x 420.) It is a touch screen. You can use your finger or the supplied stylus. The stylus is magnetic, but it can be harnessed to the device with a supplied cord. An extra stylus is supplied in case one gets broken or lost. That has happened 3 times to us with other Leapsters – so it is great having that extra on hand.

The LeapPad device is white with green accents. There is also a violet option, which is nice for the girls. On the front of the tablet there is a power button, sound down and sound up button, and home button. There is also a large silver button that can be used like a finger control, to move a cursor up, down, left, right or explore other options.

The LeapPad comes with a camera, video recorder and microphone. The camera can take 30,000 pictures and the LeapPad can record 120 minutes of video.

GAMES freenintendo and ACTIVITIES

The LeapPad is similar to the Leapster Explorer in what kids can do with it. They can read e-books, play learning games, enhance art and animation skills, listen to and play music, learn writing, watch videos, and do flash cards. It also has a built-in camera and video recorder, while that requires an additional accessory for the Leapster Explorer.

One thing I LOVE about the LeapPad is that it works with other Leapster Explorer Games and Apps! That means if I download an app for my son’s Leapster Explorer, I can also upload it onto my other son’s LeapPad. And the boys can also share cartridges. And with the LeapPad came a HUGE library of game cartridges and apps to choose from. Most games and apps are extra, though, not included with a LeapPad purchase.

Customer Reviews

I bought TV a month ago and so far it has been a better TV than the Sony or Samsung, I looked at before I Bought the Toshiba. It’s easy to use has enough inputs for my needs, sound is loud and clear. There’s the optical output for my surround sound. Picture is great thanks to cinespeed and clear frame technology espy when watching movies. Don’t need 3d beck feels like your actually watching it while they are taping it. Gaming mode regazalink works for the PS3 native mode is awesome price. No internet but not a big deal coz, have ps3 it freezes at the beginning but hasn’t happened lately, Regazalink  doesn’t  work for Xbox 360. It could be an Xbox issue, a little faded if you’re on the side but not noticeable unless you’re looking for.

Great picture and we were happy with it until the unit crapped out on us after owning it for 6weeks.The LCD panel went bad according to Toshiba tech rep in India (good luck if you have to call them!!). Called Tiger Direct and they would do nothing for us. They WOULD sell us another TV and give us free shipping!!! You can guess what I told them to do!! Next I tried Toshiba customer service and they won’t replace the TV unless it is deemed”unrepairable”. I actually got to talk to somebody in the states and they were no help. Next, I tried to get the thing repaired by the local Toshiba service rep and it seems that the part is currently unavailable and he won’t know how long it will take to get or even if he can get it. So I will never buy a Toshiba product again and Tiger direct will never see me again.
